This popular 1-hour home visit is designed to support families in the early weeks after birth or after a baby's discharge from SCN/NICU. The session focuses on establishing breastfeeding, understanding your newborn’s cues, and helping you gain confidence with feeding and settling at home.

Ideal for families in the first 4 weeks postpartum.

Common concerns addressed during this visit include:

• Shallow or painful latch
   
• Baby falling asleep during feeds
   
• Clicking or noisy sucking
   
• Difficulties with attachment
   
• Sore or damaged nipples
   
• Low milk supply or concerns about milk production
   
• Slow weight gain in baby
   
• Feeding challenges with premature babies
   
• Positioning and attachment techniques
   
• Feeding frequency and sleep patterns
   
• Nipple shield use and weaning
   
• Expressing milk and top-up feeds
   
• Mixed feeding approaches
   
• Managing unsettled or windy babies
   
• Understanding baby’s cries (hunger, wind, fatigue)
   
• Tongue and lip tie screening

Each visit includes:

• A comprehensive maternal health and breastfeeding history
   
• Newborn oral and feeding assessment
   
• A personalised breastfeeding and settling care plan
   
• A follow-up phone call within 2–3 days to answer any further questions
